China RoHS Update - Revised Administrative Measures Draft, Testing Laboratories List Released

On June 10, MIIT released a revised draft of the China RoHS Administrative Measures, a crucial policy component of the overall China RoHS regime. The new draft reflected important industry feedback from previous drafts released by MIIT; industry is still concerned about clarifying certain aspects of the scope of China RoHS (including product categories and uses), as well as requirements for the limitation of chemical compounds of explicitly restricted substances. 

Additionally, on July 6th, the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA) released the first list of approved China RoHS testing labs. Apart from labs with Chinese government background, USITO notes the presence of private and foreign labs. This list can be downloaded from the CNCA website.
