USITO Call for Comments: Draft Implementing Regulations of the Copyright Law

On July 13, the National Copyright Administration released the Draft Implementing Regulations of the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China for public comments with a deadline on August 12.The draft revises the current Implementing Regulations from 38 articles to 49 articles. According to the drafting explanation, the main revisions cover five areas: refining the copyright rights system, clarifying authorization mechanisms and transaction rules, implementing copyright protection rules, reflecting China’s obligations under relevant international treaties, and making technical textual adjustments to align with the amended Copyright Law.
