MIIT Released the Notice on Launching Pilot MIIT-Province Collaboration Action for 6G Innovation and Development

On June 4, MIIT released the Notice on Launching Pilot MIIT-Province Collaboration Action for 6G Innovation and Development. The Notice launches a multi-year pilot program to coordinate central ministries, provincial authorities, and key local entities in advancing 6G technology R&D, industrial ecosystem development, standards-oriented work, and application scenario exploration. The pilot aims to support China’s 6G commercialization by 2029 through domestically innovated technical solutions, new business and application scenarios, and diverse terminal products, while creating channels for enterprises to participate in technology testing, application pilots, and broader ecosystem activities in designated pilot regions.
