People’s Bank of China steps up cybersecurity efforts

On June 1, 2018, the central party committee of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) held a collective study session in order to further study and carry out the contents of a key speech delivered by Xi Jinping at the National Cybersecurity and Informatization Work Meeting. At the study session, PBOC Party Secretary Guo Shuqing invited relevant experts to report on China’s current cybersecurity landscape, with particular attention devoted to critical information infrastructure.
