New Interpretations for Certification of Intellectual Property
On May 16, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) released the Interpretation of the Administrative Measures for Certification of Intellectual Property.
The Interpretation notes several reasons for the release:
- To raise the quality of intellectual property related activity in China, and expand the simple IP management system into an IP certification system covering certification of management systems and services.
- To update the State’s certification and accreditation laws and regulations.
- To further institutional reform, streamline administration, delegate authorities, strengthen regulations and improve services
