AII Expands Work Scope in 2017
CAICT established the Alliance of Industrial Internet (AII) in 2016 and has been working diligently to study the future of industrial data and the technology behind digitizing manufacturing processes. On June 10, 2017, AII hosted their 4th meeting in Shanghai where Yu Xiao Hui led a discussion on future development plans. The Shanghai Economic and IT Commission and Lingang District Government supported the work and AII also announced that they will establish a second office in Shanghai set to open at the end of June. AII is working with the government to write an updated Industrial Internet Framework and establish an industrial internet innovation center.
AII announced a new organizational structure of 8+7 where they added 3 new working groups in the areas of network/connectivity, AI, and vertical applications. Other organizational goals include publishing more and they are currently working on a few papers, including the Industrial Internet System Framework (2.0), Industrial Internet Implementation Framework, CSP Whitepaper, Industrial Internet Vertical Industry Demand Report and Industrial Internet IOT Security Framework. Standardization work is also a priority as laid out in the Industrial Internet Platform Trusted Service Assessment Testing Requirements and other papers. They also plan to publish testing results for several different areas including industrial big data, big data analysis, IPR and others.
