CNNIC Publishes China Internet Development Report
On August 3, China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) published a report on China's Internet users. According to the report, the number of Chinese netizens has reached over 700 million, marking a 51.7% increase in Internet user growth and surpassing the world average by 3.1 percentage points.

The number of .CN domain names has grown to 37 million.
The number of mobile netizens reached 650 million users, meaning 92.5% of all users access the Internet on a mobile device
Rural Internet usage has gown to 31%, however, there is still a lack of education around the Internet so many people are not willing to use it.
The number of online payments and wealth management grew 9.3% and 12.3% respectively. E-commerce is rapidly growing and online payment options are expanding.
Online education, services, and government services are growing rapidly, and over 100 million people have used online services.
