Ministry of Finance Revises China WEEE Subsidy Standards

Last week, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and three other central government ministries jointly announced a revision of the China Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (China WEEE) recycling subsidy, with an implementation date beginning on January 1, 2016. The new revision contains changes to five product categories, including personal computers, while the remaining China WEEE product categories have not yet been released. 

The new revision includes a standard rate that theMinistry of Finance will pay to recycling firms for every unit of the designated product recycled, with the money coming directly from the China WEEE fund.
