MIIT Sets Industrial Objectives For Connected Car Development
Last week, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the China Academy of Information Communications Technology (CAICT) hosted the 2015 Connected Car Summit in Beijing. In his keynote address, MIIT Chief Engineer Zhang Feng highlighted four key development objectives for China's connected car sector:
- Increase high-level policy coordination to promote connected car development
- Promote industrial collaboration in order to improve the connected car development ecosystem
- Strengthen China's core technology competitiveness
- Accelerate standardization efforts to build a foundation for the industry's development
According to an MIIT press release, connected car development efforts are under the MIIT technology division and the industry equipment division.
