Shandong Promotes "Indigenous & Controllable" IT Product Catalog

On October 12, the Shandong Provincial Economic & Informatization Committee released a noticecalling for input on the second batch of products to be included in the Shandong Province Recommended List for Indigenous & Controllable Information Technology and Software Products.

The Notice provides application requirements for companies seeking to include the following products for the recommended product procurement list:

• IT products: integrated circuits, high end electronic components, digital A/V equipment, and GPS components
• Software products: basic software, industrial software, industry application software, information security software, and high-end software processing cloud computing and big data.

Key requirements for firms that wish to apply include

• independent IP for the product
• secure supply chain
• third-party security testing
