MOF Standard Regulating Government Software Procurement and Use in Effect Since July 1st

USITO recently learnt that the Ministry of Finance (MOF) is slowly implementing the "Asset Configuration Standard for Government Agency Office General Use of Software (tentative)" made effective July 1st. 

The Standard sets rules to guide the purchase and use of office software technology such computer operating systems (OS), office suits and anti-virus by Chinese government agencies.  

MOF has been gradually implementing the final version of the standard across relevant government agencies at the provincial and county levels since the end of May, but has not made a public announcement on its website.
