USITO Call for Comments: PBoC Released Measures for Cybersecurity Management in the Financial Sector (Draft for Comments)
On July 3, PBoC, National Financial Regulatory Administration and China Securities Regulatory Commission jointly released the Measures for Cybersecurity Management in the Financial Sector (Draft for Comments) calling for public comments till August 3, 2026. This draft Measures would establish a unified cybersecurity governance and compliance framework for China’s financial sector. It clarifies that financial institutions bear primary responsibility for their own network security, requires the establishment of sound cybersecurity governance mechanisms, and further highlighted the protection of critical information infrastructure (CII) in the financial industry.
