USITO Call for Comments: Draft Procedural and Enforcement Measures for IC Layout-Design Protection
Following the State Council’s issuance of the revised Regulations on the Protection of Layout Designs of Integrated Circuits (Decree No. 842), the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has released Draft Amendments to the Implementing Rules for the Regulations on the Protection of Layout-Designs of Integrated Circuits and Draft Revision to the Guidelines for Examination and Enforcement of Layout-Designs of Integrated Circuits for public comment to further operationalize the revised framework. Comments are due by Sept. 3, 2026.
