Telecom Authorities Hold Mobile Smart Terminal Network Access Conference

On June 14th, China's Telecom Management Bureau organized a conference to discuss the "Notification Regarding the Strengthening of Network Access Management of Mobile Smart Terminals" and officially released "YD/T2407-2013 Mobile Smart Terminal Security Capability Technical Requirements" and "YD/T 2408-2013 Mobile Smart Terminal Security Testing Methods" technical standards to address growing information security concerns affecting end-user rights and privacy. 

The Notification and the two standards shall be effective as of November 1st, 2013. 330 corporate representatives from 208 enterprises attended the conference. For more information on this conference, please refer to the original report in Chinese.
