TC260 Guidelines for Cross-Border Data Transfer

On May 27, TC260 released the long-awaited draft standard, Information Security Technology - Guidelines for Data Cross-Border Transfer Security Assessment, for public comments (draft standard). The deadline for comment is Tuesday, June 27, 2017. The draft standard is one of the most critical standards supplementing the implementation of the Measures on the Security Assessment of Cross-Border Transfer of Personal Information and Important Data, which is being revised by CAC at the moment. 

The draft standard applies to network operators conducting cross-border transfers of personal information and important data, and also applies to industry regulators guiding and supervising companies' security assessment work. Cyberspace Administrations and industry regulators could also refer to this standard when conducting security assessment within the authority.
