State Council Releases Energy-Saving & Environmental Protection Guidance to Promote Economic Development

On August 11th, the State Council issued "Guidance for Accelerating the Development of Energy-Saving and Environmental Protection Industry", signaling heightened central government focus on energy-saving and environmental protection (EP) as China continues its path of industrial and economic development. 

The Guidance sets a minimum target of 15% annual growth over the next three years for energy-saving and environmental protection products and services, achieving total green-ICT-related industrial output of 4.5 trillion RMB by 2015.
