State Council Establishes Cross-Border E-Commerce Pilot Cities
On January 15, the State Council approved theEstablishment of Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Areas in 12 Cities Including Tianjin Municipality.
The 12 cities include Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Dalian, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shenzhen and Suzhou.
The pilot cities are tasked with building on experience from the China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area to lead and experiment in technical standards, business process, regulatory modes, information construction and other aspects related to the business-to-business (B2B) model for cross-border e-commerce.
The program aims to promote the development of cross-border e-commerce nationwide as well as new support new modes of foreign trade development.
