State Council Announces 4G Licenses to be Issued in 2013
On July 12th, the State Council held an Executive Meeting and publicly announced that 4G licenses would be issued within this year. The announcement is part of a strategy to promote information consumption and industrial informatization by 2015. With this strategy, Chinese regulators intend to target a 20% annual growth rate for information consumption.
