SCA Released Administrative Measures for the Use of Cryptography in Electronic Certification Services
On Jun 3, SCA released the Administrative Measures for the Use of Cryptography in Electronic Certification Services, which will take effect on July 1, 2026 and repeal the 2009 Measures on Electronic Certification Service Cryptography (as revised in 2017). The Measures sit under the Electronic signature law, Cryptography Law and Commercial Cryptography Regulations, and establish a licensing and supervisory regime for electronic certification service using commercial cryptography in China.
