National Cybersecurity Industry Park Underway

On March 26, Vice Minister Chen Zhaoxiong of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) chaired a meeting to review progress on the National Cybersecurity Industry Park, a joint initiative between MIIT and the Beijing municipal government aiming to build a 100 billion yuan ($15 billion) cybersecurity industry. The initiative was announced last December and this was the first high-level leading group meeting since the announcement. Yin Hejun, the Vice Mayor of Beijing and other officials from MIIT and the Beijing municipal government also joined the meeting.
