MOFCOM Adds 40 Japanese Entities to Restricted entity list and Watch List
On June 29, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) released Announcement No. 27 of 2026 and Announcement No. 28 of 2026. Announcement No. 27 adds 20 Japanese entities to the Restricted entity list, while Announcement No. 28 adds another 20 Japanese entities to the watch list. Both announcements took effect on the date of release. Based on the annexes, the Japanese entities added to the two lists appear to be mainly concentrated in defense, aerospace, maritime engineering, and related technical services.
