Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces Establishment of Cyber Affairs Office
On June 14th, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairsspokeswoman Hua Chunying announced at a press conference the establishment of a China Cyber Affairs Office, which will be responsible for the coordination of diplomatic cyber affairs.
In her statement, the Ministry' spokeswoman stated that China attaches great importance to cyber security related issues and the new Cyber Affairs Office will constructively facilitate the creation of cyber dialogue and cooperation between relevant parties. The Cyber Affairs Office' advocacy initiatives will adopt a United Nation's framework and abide by international laws to improve mutual trust and cooperation in the joint safeguard of peace and security in cyberspace.
