MIIT Leads New Eco-Design and Green Manufacturing Association

On January 15, the Eco-Design and Green Manufacturing Association was established in Beijing. Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) energy savings and comprehensive resource utilization division Deputy Director-General Bi Junsheng presided over the meeting, while China Academy of Engineers academician Ding Wenjiang was selected as the association's first director, according to a report on the MIIT website. 

In his opening remarks, DDG Bi emphasized that green development and manufacturing are among the top five priorities outlined in the upcoming 13th Five-Year Plan, while the China Manufacturing 2025 plan is set to further promote the development of the sector.
