MIIT Hosts Meeting to Discuss Green Data Center Pilot Iniative
On April 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly hosted a meeting to discuss green data center development in the Beijing-Hebei-Tianjin economic triangle region. The meeting, which was aimed at accelerating a green data center pilot initiative in the economic triangle, was attended by representatives from 84 data center enterprises, along with relevant MIIT, NEA and local government officials.
During opening remarks, an MIIT official from the energy savings and resource utilization department introduced the following subjects for discussion:
- Green data center related standards
- Green data center success cases for replication
- Best practices in green data center technology and management
