MIIT Holds 13th Five-Year Plan Implementation Meeting

On October 31, 600 Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) officials gathered to study implementation of the 13th Five-Year Plan, according to a report on the MIIT website. MIIT Minister Miao Wei called on MIIT to ensure that the Five-Year Plan fits into the overarching objectives of the China Manufacturing 2025 policy in the following areas:
  • New generation ICT technology
  • Robotics
  • Aviation equipment
  • Marine engineering equipment
  • Modern rail transportation equipment
  • New energy automobiles
  • Electrical equipment
  • Agricultural machinery
  • New materials
  • Pharmaceutical and high-performance medical equipment
It is expected that the 13th Five-Year Plan will be formally released and implemented during the upcoming National People's Congress meeting in Spring 2016.
