MIIT Held Information Security Industry Consultation with Domestic Firms
On Oct. 8th, Beijing's Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology (BJEIT) reported on a recent industry consultation between the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's (MIIT) Software Division and seven domestic high-technology information technology, cloud and data security companies on Sept. 25th and 29th.
During the consultation, MIIT's Software Division Deputy Director Mr. Chen Ying said the government will vigorously support domestic companies' technology research and development (R&D) for technological innovation and import substitution in the information security industry, which is considered a strategic industry for China.
