MIIT Continuing with Internet "Cleanup"

On May 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released another Notice on Further Cleaning up and Regulating the Internet Access Service Market (Notice). The Notice extends MIIT’s “cleanup” work through March 31, 2019 to address what is described as a persistence of illegal transmission services, cross-border data communications without a license and other violations.
