MIIT Continues to Promote Green Manufacturing in 2017

On March 1, MIIT Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department reviewed the work in 2016 and rolled out the annual plan with key tasks identified for 2017. MIIT focused on green manufacturing in support of China Manufacturing 2025 in the year of 2016, will continue to promote green manufacturing in 2017 following Industry Green Development Plan (2016-2020) and Green Manufacturing Project Implementation Guide (2016-2020) and identified some key tasks as listed below:

• Accelerate the construction of green manufacturing systems including green products, green factories, green industrial parks and green supply chains and improve green manufacturing standards;
• Improve industrial energy efficiency, implement energy efficiency "top runner" projects, & pilot green data center projects;
• Implement the clean production policies and promote the implementation of "Restrictions on the use of Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic products" or China RoHS 2.
