CAC Finalized Regulation on Governance of Internet Information Content Ecosystem

The Cyberspace Administration of China released the Regulation on Governance of Internet Information Content Ecosystem, which will take effect on March 1, 2020. The Regulation was developed from the Regulation on Governance of Internet Ecosystem (Draft for comments) released in September 2019.

 

The title change reflects the change in scope from an initial focus on the larger internet ecosystem to internet content more specifically. The regulation is applicable to the governance activities of the internet information content ecosystem within the territory of China.
