With the in-depth development of Information & Communication technology and Internet, much more data could be able to record and analyze than before, we are entering a new era of Big Data. Data collection and analysis have been regarded as the essential to improve the functioning of society. Both US and Chinese government believe Big Data has a huge potential to grow the industry, optimize the social service and benefit to the human beings.
On May, 2014, US Executive Office of the President published a report with the title of Big Data: Seizing Opportunities, Preserving Values, where principles and policy recommendations were provided regarding how to maximize benefits and minimize harms in a big data world. And in China, the government leaders also look "Big Data as a new commanding point of competition", and encouraging policies are also under consideration to come out.
We're glad to invite you to the roundtable dialogue comparing notes and sharing ideas on the current status of the development of Big Data in US and China, discussing the Policy and standards, and looking for potential opportunities to work together for a promising Big Data era.
