USITO is pleased to invite you to attend a presentation by Ed Pausa, director emeritus of the Center for Technology and Innovation at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), that will explore China's impact on the global semiconductor industry. Mr. Pausa is the principal author of PwC's annual report entitled "China's Impact on the Semiconductor Industry," and his presentation will feature pre-release content from the 2015 update to the PwC annual report.

Speaker Bio
Ed Pausa is a director emeritus of the Center for Technology and Innovation for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mr. Pausa has had more than 50 years of broad experience in the semiconductor industry with direct profit and loss responsibilities and has directed extensive multi-national organizations. This includes 25 years experience at the corporate officer level in all four segments of the industry: integrated device manufacturer (IDM), semiconductor equipment and materials (SEMI), semiconductor manufacturing services (SATS), and fabless semiconductor (FSA). During his career he has directed 33 plants and subsidiary companies in 18 foreign countries and 11 plants in six US states. He has negotiated and executed six multi-million dollar international joint ventures and contracts in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Mr. Pausa began consulting in 1990 after his retirement from National Semiconductor Corporation where he had served as Corporate Vice President of International Manufacturing and Services. Since then he has completed long-term assignments as Vice President Operations of Power Integrations Inc., Vice President of Alphatec Group and also Director of Coopers & Lybrand Consulting. As a consultant, Mr. Pausa has focused his practice on assisting high-tech companies in the development and implementation of business strategies and continuous improvement policies and practices.
Mr. Pausa earned a BS with honors in Engineering, a MS in Metallurgy and a graduate certificate in Business Management from the University of California at Berkeley. He holds the rank of Captain, United States Naval Reserve.
