Random Inspection of Online Traded Commodities Regulated

On November 12, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC）promulgated on its website Opinions on Strengthening and Regulating Random Inspection of the Quality of Online Traded Goods, bringing online random inspection procedures in line with offline random inspections.

The Opinions outline procedures for buying, sealing, unpacking samples and notifying operators of online goods, and provide for immediate cessation of sales or customer returns for deficient goods.
