MOFCOM Releases Two Service Specifications For E-Commerce

On March 22, the Commercial Technology and Quality Center of Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) organized and drafted the Service Specification for Cross-Border E-commerce (Draft for Comment) and the Service Specification for Mobile E-commerce (Draft for Comment) for public comments by May 31, 2016. The two service specifications were posted on the MOFCOM E-Commerce and Informatization Division official webpage.

The two documents set out related specification requirements for the administration of business services provided by online sellers, as well as the administration of e-commerce data assets, privacy and data security.

USITO has translated the two documents, but is still working on clarifying certain key concepts articulated in the documents. Members can expect these documents to be circulated via the working groups this week.
