GAC Announces Work Priorities for "One Belt, One Road"

On April 1, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) published the 2016 Work Priorities for the Implementation of the "One Belt, One Road" Strategic Plan. 

Intended to promote cooperation with relevant countries and regions in many different industries, the work priorities provide a series of measures to implement interconnectedness and further promote trade facilitation.
This announcement highlights 14 priorities, including, customs clearance, regulation, taxation, and law enforcement cooperation. It also focuses on key business customs reform in the following areas: 

  • Innovation and scientific development
  • Deep cooperation
  • Reaching a consensus and expanding influence
