AQSIQ Releases Notice on Implementation of Standardization Law

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) released a notice for the implementation of the Standardization Law.
 
According to official news reports, the notice emphasizes that the government will strictly limit the range of recommended standards. Social organization standards will also be given legal weight. The enterprise standards self-declaration system is meant to promote enterprise innovation.
 
According to the notice, the government is currently preparing the Interpretation of the Standardization Law and the answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). Once this document is finalized, standardization authorities at all levels will facilitate interpretation through international communication and explanation and training seminars or workshops with standardization professionals from government, social organizations, and enterprises.
 
The notice also mentioned the implementation of the Standardization Law should be connected with the Belt & Road Initiative.
