State Council Reforms Customs Clearance System

On July 31, Vice Premier Wang Yang presented on the "Triple Cooperation" customs clearance system reform.

He highlighted areas of progress for local agencies, including a 'One-stop service counter' for international trade implemented at all ports, 'one-stop service' improvements, and integrated clearance, inspection and quarantine nationwide.

He also promoted six areas for further reform, calling for agencies to:

Strengthen top-level design, build a unified technological architecture and standards and reduce redundancy.
Expand the 'One-stop service' to include all port supervision resources and facilities.
    Promote information-sharing mechanisms
Design innovative and efficient clearance methods
Establish a joint port security mechanism and improve emergency response mechanisms
Coordinate all agencies operating at ports and create a cooperative atmosphere

Customs clearance reforms will facilitate trade growth, signaling a better environment for foreign companies.
