NDRC Issues 3-yr "Internet+" Green Ecology Action Plan

On January 11, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC)promulgated its Implementation Three-Year Action Plans for "Internet+" Green Ecology.

The Plans call for promotion of deep integration of the Internet and ecological progress, improving the systems for pollutant monitoring and information release, and forming a dynamic monitoring network for the carrying capacity of resources and environment covering main ecological elements, so as to achieve the opening and sharing of ecological data.

The Plans establish 24 specific tasks in three areas:
  • enhancing dynamic monitoring of resources and the environment
  • vigorous development of intelligent environmental protection
  • provision of corresponding schedules.

Specifically, the Plans require greater online monitoring and big data analysis for energy consumption of key energy-consuming entities and scope expansion based on steady promotion of pilot programs. The Plans also highlight the importance of enhancing collection and sorting of enterprise credit data on environmental protection and the inclusion of enterprise credit records on environmental protection into the unified national sharing and exchange platform for credit information.
