ISC Posts 2013 Internet Report

 

On Aug. 13th, the Internet Society of China (ISC), supported by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the State Internet Information Office, organized a three-day "China Internet Conference" in Beijing.

MIIT Vice-Minister Shang Bing delivered a keynote speech highlighting current progress and future challenges for China's Internet industry. Shang noted three key objectives:

  • Spur China's socio-economic development
  • Build a harmonious and healthy Internet industry
  • Bolster national strategic importance of network/information security and protection

At the conference, ISC also released the "China Internet Development Report (2013)" offering comprehensive and statistical analysis of the most important Internet policies and market developments for mobile, telecom VAS services, cloud computing, and information service technologies in 2012.
